Little Giraffe Foundation

Little Giraffe Foundation strives to support families with babies in the NICU across the country. We regularly support 7 Chicagoland level III NICU's and continue to grow everyday.. We typically donate a small book and toy six (6) times a year for Valentine's Day, Easter (Spring), Fourth of July, Halloween (Fall), Thanksgiving, and Christmas (Winter).

Our twins, Cheyenne and Evan, were born February 10, 2011 at Lutheran General Hospital at 25 weeks 6 days gestation (1 lb 4 oz and 1 lb 11 oz respectively). Sadly, we lost our daughter 6 weeks later on March 25th. After the devastating loss, my husband and I wanted to do something to help other families while doing a mountain of good in the world that our daughter could no longer do herself. On March 28th, only 3 days after her passing, Little Giraffe Foundation was born. We began raising funds immediately and began to support other families while our son was still in NICU care.

Little Giraffe Foundation's main missions are to support neonatal research and families of the NICU. In 2012 we funded $12,000 in NICU research and NICU support grants. In addition, we have been able to provide over 2,000 gift bags to NICU families since our foundation’s inception in 2011.
